I am working out an arrangement with BoerGoats.com to have my clients be listed in their directory at
20% off of the published rate.
I have had an ongoing dialog with Keith Smith about this deal for about a week now, and we are working out
the final details. This is only for sites designed by CCFDesign, so you cannot pass it onto anyone
else you know in the industry.
First of all, I want you to know that I made it real clear that I did not want to make any money off this,
but I wanted to pass on the entire discount to my clients.
The rate will be $36/quarterly or $120/year (it is currently $45/quarterly or $150/year). I will send
out the details when they are finally hashed out.
This all started a couple of months back when one of my clients asked me where he should advertise (which
venue had the most bang for its buck). I am still not sure where the best place to advertise a single
sale is, but the value of having your site listed in the Boer Goat Breeder directory is real. Recently,
I noticed that one of my new sites was receiving a lot of traffic. As of right now, www.SacredHeartBoerGoats.com ,
has received 200 visits from BoerGoats.com in the last 6 days and www.WhistlingDixieFarms.com has
received nearly 300 this month!
The existing customers will be able to renew at the 20% off rate.
I am writing you just to let you know about this opportunity and to gauge interest. There will be
more details in the next newsletter (which will be sent on April 7 th ). As you may know, inbound links
are very valuable for getting your web site ranked higher in search engines, but those links have to have
value. BoerGoats.com has a Google PageRank of 5 - which is about the best in the industry (it has the
same rank as ABGA and IBGA's sites). That rank means that Google measures their importance as a 5 out
of 10. Most goat sites have a page rank of 0, 1 or 2. I noticed when searching through the sites
that are in the Boer Goat directory, that a lot of them have page ranks of 3 or 4 (like www.CandHLivestock.com has).
In the next newsletter, I will also post a list of other places where you can advertise (for free), but
none of those carry the weight of a BoerGoats.com ad.
Someone asked me what I will get out of brokering a deal to get cheaper rates. I had the option of
getting a referral fee for doing this, but I told Keith that I wanted all of the savings to go to you. What
I get is that when more people go to your sites and see how well designed they are, perhaps they will try
to figure out who designed them (when they are ready for their own site). So, I do get some exposure
from that sense, but ultimately, I think it is a good deal for you.
Please respond to this email to let me know if you are interested or not. Again, there will be more
details in a follow-up email and in the April Newsletter. |
